This guide explains how to connect and configure a Lemon product specifically with the Roland V31. It focuses on the actual zone capability and module-specific connection method rather than generic compatibility claims.

ℹ Important Compatibility Information

Roland V31: Full compatibility.

🔌 Connection & Setup

Connection: use two trigger paths. Lemon Output 1 (bow/edge) → RIDE/RD with TRS; Lemon Output 2 (bell) → RIDE BELL/RDB or the documented auxiliary bell input with the appropriate cable.

Starting setup: select the closest CY-15R/CY-13R pad type on the ride input. Where a separate bell input is used, assign it to Ride Bell. A useful starting range is Sensitivity 6–10 for the ride and 8–12 for the bell path, then fine-tune.

⚙ Recommended Settings

Start with the module’s closest manufacturer trigger preset for the selected pad or cymbal. Get the basic trigger working before changing advanced parameters.

  • Sensitivity/Gain: increase if quiet hits are missed; reduce if normal hits overload the trigger.
  • Threshold: raise slightly if vibration or nearby pads create false triggers; lower if soft playing is missed.
  • Retrigger/Mask: increase only enough to suppress unwanted double-triggering.
  • Crosstalk: adjust only after confirming the pad is mechanically secure.

🔧 Troubleshooting

  • No trigger: check cable type, input assignment and kit/trigger activation.
  • Only one zone: check that the input supports multiple zones and that a TRS cable is being used.
  • Wrong zone: verify the input mapping and, on two-input rides, the two cable assignments.
  • False triggers: lower sensitivity or raise threshold slightly, then review crosstalk.
  • Missed hits: increase sensitivity gradually or reduce threshold.

Verification note: This guide follows Lemon’s current module-by-module support database and compatibility information. Firmware and hardware revisions can affect trigger behaviour, so test the finished setup before changing multiple parameters at once.
