Roland TD-10 – Lemon Snare & Bass Drum Setup

This guide covers Lemon snare and bass-drum/pad setup specifically for the Roland TD-10.

🔌 Connection & Setup

Snare: where dual-zone operation is supported, use a TRS connection and the module’s dedicated snare input. Select the closest compatible dual-zone pad type and confirm head and rim trigger independently.

Bass drum: connect the Lemon bass drum/pad to the module’s kick input using its standard kick trigger connection. Kick inputs are normally single-zone.

⚙ Recommended Settings

Start with the module’s closest manufacturer trigger preset for the selected pad or cymbal. Get the basic trigger working before changing advanced parameters.

• Sensitivity/Gain: increase if quiet hits are missed; reduce if normal hits overload the trigger.
• Threshold: raise slightly if vibration or nearby pads create false triggers; lower if soft playing is missed.
• Retrigger/Mask: increase only enough to suppress unwanted double-triggering.
• Crosstalk: adjust only after confirming the pad is mechanically secure.

🔧 Troubleshooting

• No trigger: check cable type, input assignment and kit/trigger activation.
• Only one zone: check that the input supports multiple zones and that a TRS cable is being used.
• Wrong zone: verify the input mapping and, on two-input rides, the two cable assignments.
• False triggers: lower sensitivity or raise threshold slightly, then review crosstalk.
• Missed hits: increase sensitivity gradually or reduce threshold.
